Hello Everyone!
Happy almost Friday! I thought I would stop in and share my thoughts on it Cosmetics Superhero Mascara. Spoiler alert: it is everything I hoped. This mascara is by the beloved cruelty-free brand, it Cosmetics, and retails for $32CAD ($24 USD). If you aren’t sure where you find it in Canada and don’t want to order it online, your local Sephora likely has it in stock. Mine came in a Boxycharm box, which I have posted about if you are interested in receiving some interesting products for an inexpensive price.

it Cosmetics Superhero Mascara: Packaging

The it Cosmetics Superhero Mascara packaging is eye-catching, sleek and all black with just the brand and product name stamped on it. The tube is a unique shape, wider at both ends and tapering in at the middle like an hourglass. It feels weighty as it rests in your hands and it seems like it will hold up to being carried everywhere with you in your makeup bag.

The wand is user-friendly even with the thick formula of the mascara. It is not messy and does not get all over my face during application (another definite win for us clumsy folks). The shade makes your lashes stand out and look beautifully dramatic, even with just one coat. Another bonus about thick formulas is their ability to tame unruly eyelashes and put them back in some sort of order. This formula is no exception, which I am extremely grateful for.

it Cosmetics Superhero Mascara: The Result

I love how the mascara looks once it is on. It is not waterproof, however, if you prefer a mascara that will last through a rainstorm or happy/sad tears streaming down your face. This also means it is pretty easy to remove after you are finished wearing it. it Cosmetics Tightline mascara is waterproof and retails for the same price if that is what you are after. I have yet to try it so cannot say what it is like, though.

it Cosmetics Superhero Mascara: Naming

When I first heard about the “elastic technology” it Cosmetics promises, I pictured Marvel Character, Mister Fantastic, and giggled. If you aren’t sure who I am referring to, a Wikipedia link can be found here. What a fitting name “Superhero” is too. Once the mascara was on, I could almost see each individual lash as a stretched out Mister Fantastic. The next image below is a before shot, with nothing on my lashes and them pointing in every direction they can manage.

it Cosmetics Superhero Mascara: Formula

The formula goes on easily. The second coat applied just as effortlessly as the first. I have only had it for a couple of weeks. It is not at all clumpy so far. The wand and formula save time during application, freeing up time for other things. The difference between the photo above and the one below is one coat of it Cosmetics Superhero Mascara covering my lashes. The difference between not wearing any mascara and one coat of this formula is stunning.  I am not sure if you can tell as easily from the pictures. The lashes have that stretched-out appearance one might hope to achieve when applying mascara.

The only possible downside is that the wand picks up some extra product on the end. I keep wiping it on the tube to clean it off. This ensures there is no excess product everywhere during use.  Since this is something we are all used to working with from most mascaras, it has not become an issue. So far, I am in love with this mascara. Hopefully, I will be able to continue using it for a while longer!

Have you had a chance to try out it Cosmetics Superhero Mascara? If so, how do you feel about them? Do you have any other products of theirs that we should try out?
